"Space has no chill"

Films: Frost Giant (2010)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Tundra/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Aliens are always surprising us with how they look and how they act. But you have to remember that some of the most recognized aliens, or at least that one that was either a carrot or a shapeshifter, like to be in the really cold and isolated areas. And thus, we have one that embodies that wholeheartedly. As in, it is the cold.

History: It came during the 19th century in a meteor that crash landed in Somerset Island, Canada. From the meteor came a giant made of pure ice...and it wasn't keen on peaceful relations with the locals. A couple centuries down the line, and the alien resurfaces, out to kill any human that gets in its way after we tamper with the ship it's been waiting in. Naturally, this puts a lot at unease.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing many, the alien giant is led into a trap that ends with it trapped under piles of rock and snow. However, yet another comet streaks across the sky...could be any comet, really.

Powers/Abilities: Can turn people to ice with just a touch, tank lots of damage, and fire sharpened ice from a distance.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It certainly looks alien, we'll give it that. How often do you see a giant skeletal insectoid being made of ice and pure undiluted hatred of all life that could freeze you to death? Of course, you'd probably say that if it were made of mediocre CGI, it wouldn't be much of a memory. At least they tried with this one.

Trivia: -This film was originally known as "Arctic Predator".

-Somerset Island, at least as of this writing, is considered to be an uninhabited island in Canada. The Thule people, ancestors of the Inuit, used to live there, but they have since left, and the place is now a tourist attraction.
